Our Carmen, Layton Octopussy, finished her SK Championship today and she is our champion number 30!!!

Now this was too much in one weekend! We planned to get the CAC titles for our boys to start their CZ championships, but this is something we didn´t even dream of! Solo showed his heart out at this show again, it is not that easy to handle his energy in the ring, but he did just great! Giving kisses to me and to the judge all the time, I guess he stole everyone´s heart. I really appreciate getting this BOB at a Czech specialty. This is the fourth time that our breeding won the Czech Specialty Winner title (Ich. Layton Esquire 2005, Ich. Layton Georgianne 2005, Ich. Layton Madamme Genaro 2008) but it is only the second time that our bred dog went Best of Breed at this prestigious show (Layton Assiniboin 1997). Thanks to the judge Mr. Miloš Kašpar, and a big thanks to my girls, you all worked very hard and the win we achieved is a result of our team work! Thank you Albina, Marcelka and Martina! And thanks to Solo´s owner Petja Plausteiner for trusting us with him.

Oh what a day! Another girls weekend out and it really started in a great way! Out of all that entry our boys went CACIB and reserve!!! Honestly, I am always stressed showing under Mr. Studenik, as I know he has such a great eye that he will find every single little fault on the dog´s construction. And he did J I very much appreciate the critiques that he wrote about all our dogs with all the pros and cons. And ending up BOB with not even 18-month-old Solo was just like a dream! I really really do appreciate!

We spent a lovely day at a show in Slovenia. The hall was a very unpleasant surprise for us with all the darkness and the dirt, but otherwise, we had a great time with friends from all over the world, staying ringside many hours after the judging, talking, sharing experiences, having a glass of champagne, many cups of coffee and ... simply enjoying!
Our Julia, Ch. Layton Quite a Scandal left us from this show for some time to have fun in Finland with Tanja Elo and Sanna Vartiainen. In exchange, we have now for a period of time a beautiful silver boy, Interchampion and Multichampion Afire´s Cover To Win, aka Totti. We look forward to the shows with him!

Philippe finished his Hungarian championship by winning 2x CACIB at the Debrecen shows this weekend. It is his second CH title already and he is only 16 months old. He sure is a once-in-a-lifetime dog, both for me and his owner Orsolya Vig!

The World Show was an unexpected success for all our dogs! With 136 American Cocker entries, all varieties in the same classes, it was quite a challenge! I secretly really really wished to win the junior class with Philippe, but winning the BOB title was something that I would never have even dreamed of! We were then shortlisted in Group 8 in the 8 finalists of the group consisting of 22 BOB winners of spaniels, retrievers and water dogs. I will always remember the trip to Denmark with Albina and Marcela, having so much fun all week long and ending up this way. It still feels like a dream!
